RULES AND REGULATIONS

DRAWS

All draws will be held at the offices of MNP LLP located at 1090 Topsail Road, Suite 201, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 5E7.

BONUS PRIZE DRAW DATE: April 24, 2025

Only tickets purchased before the Bonus Prize Deadline of Midnight, April 11, 2025, are eligible for the Bonus Prize draw on April 24, 2025. The Bonus Prize Winner Announcement will be made on April 24, 2025. 

EARLY BIRD PRIZE DRAW DATE: May 21, 2025*

*Only tickets purchased before the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, May 9, 2025, are eligible for the Early Bird Prize Draw. In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, May 9, 2025, then the Early Bird Prize draw would be conducted first, and followed by draws for all remaining prizes in order of retail value beginning with the prizes of least retail value. The top winners will be announced on NTV on May 23, 2025. 

FINAL DRAW DATE (IF NEEDED): June 18, 2025**

**In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Prize Deadline, then only the Early Bird Prize will be drawn for on May 21, 2025. Only the Early Bird Prize Winner will be announced on NTV on May 23, 2025. Ticket sales would continue until the Final Prize Deadline of Midnight, June 6, 2025. Draws will proceed in order of retail value beginning with the prizes of least retail value. The top prize winners will be announced on June 20, 2025. The 50/50® Add-On and the Cash Calendar Add-On draws will commence on June 18, 2025 following the Grand Prize draw. The Cash Calendar winners will be announced daily beginning July 1, 2025. The top prize winners will be announced on NTV on June 23, 2025. 

The top prize winners will be contacted by phone. All winners will be notified in writing by MNP LLP as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. 

A list of top winners will be available online at HCFHomeLottery.ca on June 6 or July 4, 2025. 

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversite by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (Consumer Affairs Division). 

Ticket fulfillment and draw control by MNP LLP. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final. For a copy of the prize draw sequence or for more information about the draw process please call 1-866-764-7088 or visit HCFHomeLottery.ca.

An extension of draw date or cancellation of raffle will only be requested from Consumer Affairs Division in the unlikely event of a natural disaster or catastrophic event. 

No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. The Health Care Foundation Home Lottery is not responsible for unforeseen technical difficulties with the ordering. 

PRIZE CLAIM

All winners will be notified in writing by MNP LLP as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. 

Cash Calendar winners will be posted online at HCFHomeLottery.ca daily beginning on July 1, 2025. 

Purchasers must be at least 19 years of age. Tickets must be purchased and mailed within Newfoundland and Labrador. The sale and mailing of tickets will only occur within the province and will be verified by MNP LLP. The toll-free number is restricted to Newfoundland and Labrador only. Orders will not be accepted for those whose address is outside of Newfoundland and Labrador. 

The following, including their spouse and any related or dependent person residing in the same household, are prohibited from purchasing tickets: senior administrators, board members and employees of the Health Care Foundation, the raffle manager and their employees, the partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates.  

All prizes are not taxable; ticket purchases are not tax-deductible. Prizes may not be as illustrated. 

Personal information collected will be used to fulfill ticket orders, provide information on future lotteries, contact prize winners and publicize the names of the prize winners. The Health Care Foundation Home Lottery does not sell, trade or lease your personal information. If you wish to be removed from our contact lists, please call 1-866-992-1899 or 709-753-1899 or email nllotterycs@mnp.ca. Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by the licensee for publicity purposes. The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. 

Retail values are approximate as of the date contracts were negotiated with suppliers. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may not rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded. Prices include taxes and freight, where applicable. 

Vehicles may not be shown with optional features, actual prizes may vary. The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. Prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash alternatives available unless otherwise stated. Winners of prizes that offer a cash alternative will be required to confirm their choice in writing within 5 business days of notification of their prize winning; after five days the winner will be provided with the cash alternative. 

Where applicable, airfare for vacation prizes is from St. John’s International Airport. 

This lottery is intended for Newfoundland and Labrador residents. In the event that, due to the circumstances beyond its control, the Health Care Foundation and the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery is unable to provide unencumbered title to any prize home according to the lottery schedule, the Health Care Foundation and the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery may (at its discretion) provide a cash payout equal to the advertised value of the home (excluding any HST, taxes, etc.) in lieu of the prize home. Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred. 

All titles, text, logos, graphics and artwork associated with the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery are owned, controlled or licensed by or to the Health Care Foundation and the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery, and are protected by applicable trade dress, copyright, patent and/or trademark laws, and/or various other intellectual property rights and/or unfair competition laws, and no portion thereof may be published, distributed or used in any manner whatsoever for any commercial purpose without the prior written consent of the Health Care Foundation and the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery. Tickets can not be resold or repackaged. 

All prizes are accepted “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Health Care Foundation shall have no obligation to any prize winner to provide or enforce any warranty or other right offered by any third-party provider of any prize. Any such warranty that may be provided by any third-party provider of any prize will be between the prize winner and such third-party provider of any prize. 

In the event a winner has not claimed their prize after 60 days from the applicable draws and several attempts have been made to contact that winner, then a second draw will be made for any unclaimed prizes. Those winners will be given 30 days to claim their prize. In the event a winner has not claimed their prize from the second draw, after several attempts have been made to contact the winner, then the prize may be returned to the Health Care Foundation for future fundraising endeavors. The winner of the Grand Prize Showhome, or any prize winner, can decline the prize, in which case a re-draw would occur, and another winner will be chosen. 

*All tickets in a 3-pack or 5-pack, each 50/50 Add-On® in a 5-pack, 15-pack, 25-pack or 50-pack, each Cash Calendar™ Add-on ticket in a 3-pack, 6-pack or 10-pack, all tickets in a Super Pack and all tickets in a Mega Pack must contain the same information. 

† 50/50 Add-Ons® must be ordered in conjunction with your Health Care Foundation Home lottery ticket. 50/50 Add-On® orders will not be accepted after your original Health Care Foundation Home Lottery ticket order date. There will be a minimum payout of $100,000. 50/50 Add-Ons are 5 for $25, 15 for $50, 25 for $75 or 50 for $100. 

Cash Calendar™ Add-Ons must be ordered in conjunction with your Health Care Foundation Home Lottery ticket. Cash Calendar™ Add-On orders will not be accepted after your original Health Care Foundation Home Lottery ticket order date. Cash Calendar™ Add-Ons are 1 for $25, 3 for $50, 6 for $75 or 10 for $100. There are 30 prizes in the Cash Calendar™ with a total prize value of $60,000. Winners will be posted daily on the lottery website July 1, 2025 to July 30, 2025, according to the sequential manner in purchase of ticket(s). 

All ticket purchases are final, refunds are not available. No refunds will be issued after the commencement of the draws.

We, the Health Care Foundation, are committed to respecting the privacy of individuals who visit and use the Home Lottery website. This statement informs you how your personal information is collected and used in connection with the site, the purpose for which it is collected and used, with whom the information will be shared, how long your information will remain stored, and what security measures are in place to protect your information.

COLLECTION AND USE

If you have supported the Home Lottery in the past, we thank you for your support. For previous supporters, we have the contact information we collected from you at the time you last purchased a ticket. The database of buyer information was compiled from our previous purchase records, both on and offline, and contains no financial information.

We do not automatically gather any additional personal information from you when you visit the site. Personal and financial information is collected only if you supply it voluntarily during the process of ordering a ticket.

We do not use tracking cookies of any kind on this site. We use software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted the website. This information is only linked to the personal information that you provide at the time of a ticket order for the purposes of fraud prevention. Otherwise, IP addresses are not linked to the identity of individuals visiting the site. A simple counter is used to measure the overall effectiveness of an email campaign. Similarly, links from banner advertisements are counted to measure effectiveness of the ad placement, but not linked to any personal information or IP address information in any way.

The email address that you may voluntarily supply in the process of requesting a ticket will be used for emailing notification of future such lottery events. You will have the option to not receive such email notifications by way of a check box on the order form or by phoning 1-866-992-1899. The cell phone number that you may voluntarily supply in the process of signing up for text alerts will be used for sending you text message notification of future such lottery events. You will have the option to cancel these text alerts by phoning 1-866-992-1899 or emailing nllotterycs@mnp.ca.

Your mailing address is collected for two purposes: to send you your requested ticket(s) and to invite you to participate in future lottery events. You have the option not to receive direct mail pieces by way of a check box on the order form or by phoning 1-866-992-1899.

Personal information collected will be used to keep you informed of our charitable work, funding needs, and opportunities to volunteer or give. In addition, we will use this information to fulfill ticket orders, provide information on our future lotteries, contact prize winners and publicize the names of prize winners. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery.

DISCLOSURE

Information you provide in your ticket request is shared with MNP LLP for the purposes of order fulfillment and draw control. Your information may also be accessed, as necessary, by our other contracted service providers for the limited purpose of allowing such service providers to assist us in the administration of the Home Lottery. Your personal information is not shared with any other organizations, unless we otherwise have a legal duty or right. We do not rent, sell, or trade our customer information.

RETENTION

The information you supply at the time of your order is stored in an encrypted format on the server. Your contact information is retained for the purpose of contacting you about future lotteries.

SECURITY

Transactions with the server are protected via SSL encryption. Personal information is stored on the server in an encrypted format. The server is secured from both physical intrusion and intrusion from the Internet. We have made all reasonable efforts to protect the privacy of your personal information.

DISPOSAL

Your contact information is retained in the database until such time that you ask for it to be removed. If you wish to be removed from the database that is used to email information about Home Lottery events, you may do so by following the appropriate link included in such emails. If you wish to be removed from the list that is used to send text messages about Home Lottery events, you may do so by phoning 1-866-992-1899 or emailing nllotterycs@mnp.ca. You may also request removal from future direct mailings by phoning 1-866-992-1899 or emailing nllotterycs@mnp.ca.

ACCESS

If you are a past customer who has provided us with your email address, you may unsubscribe from future such emailing through the link provided in the advertising email sent to you. This email link contains a unique code that identifies you to the database and, for security purposes, is the sole means by which you can unsubscribe online. If you wish to be removed from the list that is used to send text messages about the Health Care Foundation Home Lottery events, you may do so by phoning 1-866-992-1899.
